We are open seven days a week, year-round, with two exceptions: Thanksgiving and Christmas!

In 2019 our “Summer hours” run from May 11- September 15 and the doors are open from 8am to 9pm. During “Winter hours” we are open from 8am to 5pm so that everyone has time to get outside and have some fun after work.  We will post our 2020 season dates as soon as we have them. If you think we may have forgotten to do so, please give us a call. We always like to hear from you.

Look at our daily schedule to see what films and special events are available during your visit. You may want to leave an hour or more outside of those planned activities to peruse our exhibits and special displays, talk with our staff, go shopping, or learn how to make your own traditional beaded jewelry.

If you love our center as much as we hope you do, we’d welcome your generous donation of any amount. You can give a gift at our donation box in the lobby or through this website to sustain this world-class place where all are welcome to discover the amazing natural and cultural heritage of Interior Alaska.
