Lena Tickett, an Inupiaq Eskimo, grew up in the village of Kobuk, Alaska. She learned to make birch bark baskets from her mother when she was 14-years-old. It’s not easy—Lena rarely has any fingerprints left after working with the tough bark and spruce roots. The Tanana Yukon Historical Society invites you to celebrate the 2020 Yukon Quest International Sled Dog Race with a free showing of "Dawson City, Frozen Time."  This 2-hour documentary film by Bill Morrison revolves around the 1978 discovery of 533 reels of film frozen in Dawson's early swimming pool.
