Village-Based Cultural Traditions Workshops

Since 2019, Tanana Chiefs Conference Cultural Programs, a partner in the Morris Thompson Center, has offered Village Workshops sharing traditional skills through skilled craftspeople and artists passing on their knowledge directly to students. The Village Workshops were created for residents of Alaska’s rural communities who can’t always join us in Fairbanks for workshops at the Morris Thompson Center! They are made possible through partnership between Tanana Chiefs Conference Cultural Programs and the CIRI Foundation. Please see below for a list of planned workshops and information about who to contact if you would like more information.
